Additiorai hardcover within 75-250' setback area created by <br />placement of subject gravel to also be removed and replaced with <br />suitable ground cover because these already exists an excess of <br />6% hardcover within the 75-250' setback area. <br />B) Retaining Wall <br />To approve the after -the -fact hardcover variance of 6 squar- feet <br />created by the extension of a retaining wall within the 0-75' tback <br />area based on the following findings: <br />1. The major portion of the retaining wall is out of the n-75' <br />setback area. <br />2. The retaining wall serves to control erosion. <br />3. Applicant was advised to erect retaining wall to sustain <br />eroding bank in 1982 by Orono staff. <br />C) Boat Storage <br />To deny a variance for the storage of a boat 25 feet in length <br />placed 20 feet off street right-of-way and less than 10 feet from the <br />side property line based on the following findings: <br />1. Applicant has not demonstrated sufficent hardships. <br />2. The storage of a 25' boat in a lakeshore yard is in complete <br />conflict with the intent and standards for use of lakeshore <br />property within the City. <br />Council Action <br />Direct staff to draft the appropriate resolution for formal <br />action at your April 22nd meeting. <br />
