Patrick Lilja, MD, director <br />of emergency medicine, who reviewed this device for use by <br />the Brooklyn Park Police Department. Also you will find a <br />letter from Brooklyn Park's legal staff outlining their <br />permission for its use. You will also find backround <br />supplement and Brooklyn Park department policy. <br />Also attached is a letter from Robert Favlak Sr., of the <br />U.S. Marsh alls office, District of Minnesota, outlining his <br />permission for use by the US Marshall's office. <br />I have sent a copy of the above and other detailed material <br />to Tom Radio, City Attorney, who stated he saw no problem, <br />if device is used according to tho department manual. <br />Mr. Dewey Carlson of our insurance coi,nany, has sent to the <br />parent company the information and is now awaiting reply. <br />I would request permission for the department to allow its <br />officers to purchase the Nova XR-5000 and be allowed to use <br />it according to department guidelines. <br />
