PROCEEDINGS SUMMARY, 1992 LAKE ACCESS TASK FORCE STUDY <br />ACCESS SITING SUBCOMWrTEE ACTIONS <br />Access Siting Subcommittee Actions taken 4/6/93: <br />1. MN DNR Landowner Billof Rights was reviewed. The Bill of Rights was <br />accepted for recommendation to the Task Force. The procedures detailed in the <br />Bill of Rights would remain in effect after the Task Force completes this study. <br />Public review of a future access site negotiation brought forward by the DNR was <br />concluded to be the affected city's responsibility. <br />2.. A list of some 40 potential access sites taken from the March aerial survey and a <br />list developed by the 1983 Task Force Study was edited to review properties no <br />longer available due to development or other current uses making the property <br />unavailable. <br />STEERING CONMUTTEE ACTIONS <br />Steering Committee actions taken 4/6/93: <br />MN DOT position on its reduced Hwy. 101 causeway bridge and road rebuilding, <br />excluding the causeway public access upgrading, was received. <br />ACCESS SITING SUBCOMWrTEE ACTIONS <br />Access Siting Subcommittee actions taken 4/14/93: <br />1. Potential public access sites were presented for review against the 1993 ten point <br />Access Site Evaluation, Criteria. All marina sites were removed for separate <br />consideration. Eight other sites were removed as no longer available. <br />ACCESS SITING SUBCONMUTTEE ACTIONS <br />Access Siting Subcommittee actions taken 5/4/93: <br />1. Potential access sites reviewed per Access Site Evaluation Criteria, with added <br />conditions: <br />a. All sites must have willing sellers. <br />b. City cooperation must be secured in advancing the access site. <br />c. Agency cooperation must be secured in advance of a site being selected. <br />2. Potential access sites remaining on the list as a result of comparison to the review <br />criteria were: <br />* Tonka Bay City Dock, channel to Gideons Bay <br />* Timb a Gideons Bay, Shorewood <br />* Mai Tai, Excelsior Bay <br />* 456 Arlington Ave, Wayzata Bay (private residence) <br />* Pelican Point, Spring Park Bay, Mound <br />* Lost Lake, Cooks Bay, Mound <br />* Advance Machine, West Arm, Spring Park <br />Page 33 285 <br />
