MINUTES <br />FEE 11 1995 JAN 2 9 1985 <br />,i or 0 R 0 N 0 <br />The Orono Community Educa�ion ��dvisory Council Meeting was called to <br />order by Doug Potter, vice-chairman, on January 17, 1985 at 7:40 pm. <br />Members Present: Doug Potter, Nancy Shaver, Roger Hackbarth, Robin <br />Hoseth, Jim Franklin, Sharon Guimond, Mary Gerding, Tim tlultmann, Toni <br />Bergland, and Brian Bergstrom. <br />Members Absent: Carol Allen, Charlyn Cadv,,ell, Jean Cashmore, Ron Gilbert, <br />Marie Gorman, Sarah Norris, Telleene Perkins, Ray Pregl, and Karen Theis. <br />Minutes <br />The minutes from the last meeting were approved as written. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Winter Classes <br />oni handed out an update on the Winter Classes. Discussion took place <br />on the enrollments in these classes. <br />Adults in the High School <br />Discussion took place on Adults taking high school classes. Toni <br />reported that the High School Administration and the School Beard are <br />both supportive of this. The adults would be able to take high school <br />classes that had low enrollment. The classes would be put in the Fall <br />Community Brochure. There would be no fee for the classes. After the <br />first year we will judge if there should be a fee for future years. <br />Toni said that one problem might be the rotating schedule that the high <br />school uses. <br />Finger_printinq <br />Discussion took place on the fingerprinting program. Toni stated that <br />we will try to fingerprint middle school students, high school students <br />that want it, and any elementary students that we might have missed <br />last year. Four tentative dates were picked for the program this year. <br />They are Saturday, April 20; Monday, April 22; Thursday, April 25; and <br />Saturday, April 27. Toni will contact the Hennepin County Sherrifs and <br />KSTP for their assistance. <br />Bike Rodeo <br />onTr i reported that it has been 3 years since we have offered a Bike <br />Rodeo and she felt that we should do one again. A MOTION was made <br />by Robin Hoseth. SECONDED by Mary Gerding that we do a Bike Rodeo on <br />May 18, 1985. The POTION CARRIED. Roger Hackbarth volunteered to so- <br />licit �rizes.Asuggestion was made that we also offer a class this spring <br />on 10 speed tune-ups. Jim Franklin reported that there will be a Na- <br />tional BMX Motocross Race in Maple Plain this summer. <br />After School Classes <br />Brian reported on tie interest from a community member that we offer <br />two after school classes for young childrer similar to classes that <br />
