INVITATION FOR BIDS <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for one Single Axle Dump Truck <br />and Hydraulic Sander will be received by the City Council of the City of <br />Orono, Minnesota, in the City Council Chambers, until 10:00 A.M., 'CST on <br />March 15, 1985 at which time, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud <br />for furnishing and delivery of one Single Axle Dump Truck and Hydraulic <br />Sander for the Public Works Department. <br />GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />Lach bid shall be accompanied by bidders bond, certified check, or cash <br />deposit in an amount equal to at least ten percent (101) of the amount <br />of the bid which shall be forfeited to the City in the event the successful <br />bidder fails to enter into a contract. <br />No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after scheduled <br />time of opening bids, without consent of the City. <br />The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive <br />any informalities therein; and further reserves the right to award contract <br />with the best interest of the City. <br />Each bid shall be marked "Single Axle Dump Truck and Hydraulic Sander", <br />and addressed to the City Administrator, City of Orono, P.O. Box 66, <br />Crystal Bay, Mn. 55323. See "Instructions to Bidders" attached hereto <br />and incorporated by reference. <br />INTENT OF CONTRACT <br />Bidder shall furnish and deliver to the City of Orono, one new Single <br />Axle Dump Truck and Hydraulic Sander, meeting or exceeding the specifi- <br />cations of this proposal; only Single Axle Dump Truck and Hydraulic Sander <br />in current production will be considered in the award. <br />GUARANTEE <br />The bidder agrees to furnish all parts and labor required to keep this <br />unit in good operating condition for one (1) year, or 12,000 miles, <br />whichever comes first; the warranty repairs shall be handled as follows: <br />1. There will be no charges for the first year's <br />repairs except for normal day-to-day consumed <br />items (oil, filters, grease, etc.). <br />2. The buyer will be responsible for all costs of <br />repair due to fire, theft, accident, vandalism, <br />operator negligence or mechanic negligence. In <br />addition, the buyer will assume, and be responsible <br />for, the cost of lubricating oils, filters, grease, <br />fuel, tire repairs, and other day-to-day items <br />normal:y consumed. <br />-1- <br />
