A <br />of the Owner. No such losses and expenses shall be in- <br />cluded in the cost of the changed work for the purpose <br />* <br />of determining the Contractor's fees thereon. If, how- <br />ever, such loss requires reconstruction and the Contrac- <br />tor is placed in charge thereof, he shall be paid for <br />his services an additional fee computed in proportion to <br />the sum stated above for the original changed work. <br />(9) Cost of "drayage," exclusive of any drayage between <br />N <br />shop and jobsite, only when Contractor must hire an in- <br />dependent trucking firm and driver to perform special <br />drayage services t performance of the changed work for <br />N <br />which Contractor's skills, manpower and vehicles are in- <br />adequate. "Drayage" does not include transportation <br />performed or which could have been performed by Contrac- <br />tor's drivers or vehicles but for their use on another <br />!! <br />project. <br />(10) Costs incurred due to an emergency arising out of <br />the changed work affecting the safety of persons and <br />property. <br />i <br />(11) Other costs incurred in the performance of the <br />changed work if and to the extent approved in .advance in <br />writing by the Owner. <br />(12) Cost of subcontractors in performing the Contrac- <br />1-s tor's work as changed under this paragraph 12.3.3. com- <br />puted in accordance with clauses 12.3.1, .2, or .3. <br />♦4 <br />Ira b. The cost of the changed work shall exclude: <br />E� (1) Salaries or other compensation for Contractor's <br />officers, executive, general managers, project managers, <br />estimators, engineers, timekeepers, surveyors, mechan- <br />ics, warehousemen, auditors, accountants, purchasing and <br />�i contracting agents, draftsmen (except sheetmetal drafts- <br />men), stenographers, receptionists, and other staff em- <br />ployees, whether or not employed at Contractor's prir.ci- <br />pal office, branch office or field c,ifice at the job <br />site, <br />Ms <br />k <br />N <br />(2) Expenses of Contractor's principal office, branch <br />office or job site field office, including without lia- <br />itation the expense for pick-up trucks, office trailers, <br />storage trailers, rental of office or storage space, <br />telephone, heat, lights, etc. <br />bl - <br />35954 <br />! 4/81 <br />
