CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS: The working area available for construction operations is very limited in some areas where sanitary sewer piping is to be placed. Therefore, the contractor will be required to review construction procedures with the Engineer prior to proceeding with the pipe installation in any area. In most areas, the contractor will not be allowed to sidecast material excavated from the trenches for pipe installation. Material excavated from the trenches shall be backcast to minimize disruption of the area. The use of sewer boxes to limit trench width will be required in certain areas of the project.
