Motion, <br />Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES Councilmember T. Adams requested the wording on page <br />5 be changed to "after consultation with the <br />City Attorney, Adams noted that he will vote for the <br />resolution because it was consistent with the motion <br />to approve passed by a majority of the Council at the <br />previous meeting. <br />Councilmember Frahm moved, Mayor Butler seconded to <br />accept the minutes as corrected. Motion, Ayes (5), <br />Nays (0) . <br />PARK COMMISSION <br />COMMENTS There wore ni) :.uimnents from the Park Commission. <br />LAKE MINNETONKA CONSERVATION <br />DISTRICT REPORT Jo?;l len Hurt r-iat)rted that the District had a public <br />hearing on ultralights. The District would like to <br />se(? some type of identiliration of these, such as <br />numbering. liurc c-!ported that the deicing program is <br />more r,>>stcictive this year. They must be totally <br />fenced so that the shoreline is also fenced. It +nest <br />be lighted at dusk until dawn and there must be <br />identifying refle^tor lights or signs every 20 feet. <br />34 applications for deicing have been received and 19 <br />have been approved as of this date, 6 have have had <br />complaints filed with the Sheriffs Department for <br />problems. An ordinance was passed by the LMCD to <br />allow the Sheriff to fence channels where there is <br />open water. So far this year 31 people have gone <br />through the ice, 24 snowmobiles and 11 vehicles. The <br />LMC-D has passed an ordinance ruling out boats over 79 <br />feet in length on Lake Minnetonka. The LMCD has <br />contraced to spend $ 1309 to have a program made up <br />and printed of all the violations on the lake, where <br />they occurred and the kind of violation. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COMMENTS <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />8:39 PM APPEARANCE BY <br />MRS. Mayor Butler stated Council <br />would return to this item at 8:30 PM. <br />
