Chanter 509 Policy Statements <br />The Engineer distributed revised goal and policy statements <br />for major surface water management issues as revised after the <br />last work session of the Board of Managers. The Engineer also <br />distributed a proposed schedule for work during 1985 and 1986 to <br />complete the Chapter 09 plan. The Engineer recommended that the <br />December 20 goal and policy statements be submitted to all <br />affected municipalities, governmental agencies, the technical <br />advisory committee and interested citizens for further review and <br />comment. The Engineer also suggested that staff be directed to <br />concentrate efforts on tasks needed to produce a -craft of the <br />Chapter 509 watershed management plan, excluding the capital <br />improvement plan, according to the schedule attached to the draft <br />statements. It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Andre that the <br />policy draft statement dated December 20, 1984 be distributed as <br />recommended by the staff ar•,d that the staff proceed to undertake <br />such tasks as are necessary to begin a draft of the Chapter 509 <br />plan. Upon vote the motion carried. <br />Proiect CP 5 Easement Status <br />The Attorney reported that easements had been negotiated <br />with a majority of the owners in the Painter Creek subwatershed <br />and that the commissioners have scheduled a viewing of the <br />remaining properties for January 2 and 3, 1985. <br />Hearing on Boundary Changes January 8, 1985 <br />The Attorney reported that the Water Resources Board had <br />consolidated a hearing on the recently submitted petition for <br />boundary amendment with the previously scheduled hearing and that <br />such hearing would be held on January 8, 1985 commencing at 9:30 <br />a.m. in the Minnetonka City Hall, Minnetonka, Minnesota. The <br />attorney reported briefly on the status of this matter and it was <br />agreed that Manager Cochran would represent the Board at that <br />hearing. <br />Public Officials Liability Insurance Renewal <br />The Managers reviewed a memorandum from the Attorney noting <br />renewal of the existing public officials liability policy at the <br />prior limits of coverage but at an increased premium. The <br />Managers indicated their desire to retain the existing coverage. <br />Legal Physical Boundary Proposed Policy <br />The Managers reviewed a memorandum from the Attorney <br />suggesting a proposed policy to be applied to projects which are <br />located within the legal boundary of one watershed district but <br />-7- <br />
