j� Section 1010:05 <br />Subd. 31 EXCEL S 10 R <br />Subd. 31. fence - Any unroofed partition, structure, wall <br />gate or material erected as a dividing marker, barrier or <br />lilt enclosure. <br />Subd. 32. Floor Area - The sum of the gross horizontal areas <br />of the several floors of a building including interior bal- <br />conies, mezzanines, basements and :attached accessory buildings, <br />but excepting that area primarily devoted to window display, <br />s3iorage, fitting rooms, stairs, escal a tors, unenclosed <br />porches, detached accessory buildings utilized for dead stor- <br />age, heating and utility rooms, inside off-street parking or <br />loading space. Measurements shall be made from the outside <br />of exterior walls and to center or interior walls. <br />Subd. 33. _Floor Area Ratio - The floor area of a building <br />divided by the lo': area. <br />Subd. 34. Garage, Private - A detached accessory building <br />or portion of the principal building, including a carport, <br />which is used primarily for storing passenger vehicles, <br />trailers, tools and equipment, boats and recreational <br />vehicles or one truck of gross weight net in excess of <br />7000 lbs. licensed gross weight. <br />Subd. 35. Garage, Public - A public garage is a building <br />used for the storage or care of power driven vehicles or <br />where such vehicles are equipped for operation, repair or <br />kept for storage, hire or sale. <br />Subd. 36. Guest douse - Living quarters within an accessory <br />structure for the use only of persons whose principal employ- <br />ment is on the premises or guests of the occupants. Such <br />quarters shall not be rented. <br />Subd. 37. Guide Plan - A set of maps, documents, data, <br />policy statements, goals, and standards on file with the <br />Planning Commission. The Guide Plan shall also mean "Com- <br />prehensive City Plan" or "city Plan." <br />St. 38. Nome O cupation - Any gainful occupation con- <br />d cted witiiinye dwelling solely by a resident thereof, <br />provided that evidence of the - cupation is not visible or <br />apparent frim the street or ad3oining properties; that no <br />mechanic, equipment other than normally kept for domestic <br />purposea may be used; that there is no retail sales of <br />products produced off the site; and which use does not affect <br />the charactor of the uses permitted in the district in which <br />it is located. <br />Subd. 39. 1lot e1 - A building containing eight (8) or more <br />guest rooimi in which loaying is lrovided with or without meals <br />for compensat.ion and which is open to transi-.•nt, permanent <br />guests or hoth, and where no provision is made for cooking in <br />any guest room, and in which ingress and egress to and from <br />all rooms is made through an inside lobby or office. <br />S11W. 40. Kennel, Animal - Any lot, building, structure, <br />enclosure, premise or puce where three ( 3 ) or more of any <br />single type of domestic animals, over fcur (4) months of age, <br />are owned, boarded, bred, trainee or offered for salt.. <br />
