Mabusth, Zoning Administrator <br />DATE: January 23, 1985 <br />SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment of Zoning Code - Second Draft <br />As suggested greater clarity is provided by removing height <br />limitations for fences in Subdivision 9 by reference and amending <br />each appropriate section. I have also added additional language <br />in Section 10.03 Subdivision 15(D) and Section 10.22 Subdivision <br />1. Mote "above existing grade" has been added when appropriate <br />and height limitations for fences as non -encroachments or <br />accessory structures in lakeshore yards. <br />Staff agrees completely with Council that this process of <br />amendment is awkward in the absence of a specific section for <br />fences but the intent of the amendment has been satisfied. I <br />have enclosed sections of codes from surrounding lakeshore cities <br />for your review. Please note that the specific references <br />(underlined) to fences constructed on lakeshore lots refer only <br />to adjoining properties' views. <br />
