MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 14, 1985 PAGE E <br />#849 I.D. CAPLES <br />4798 NORTH SHORE DRIVE <br />VACATION OF A PORTION <br />OF PARR AVENUE <br />RESOLUTION #1720 I.D. Caples was present. Caples attorney, Ann Schulz, <br />was also present. <br />#783 I.D. CAPLES <br />4798 NORTH SHORE DRIVE <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION 11721 <br />Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember L. Adams seconded, to <br />approve Resolution 01720, A Resolution Vacating a <br />Portion of Park Avenue. Motion, Ayes (4), Nays (0). <br />I.D. Caples was present.. Caples attorney, Ann Schulz, <br />was also present. <br />Councilmemher L. Adams suggested adding two findings to <br />the drafted resolution. Adams noted that the highest <br />and best u:,e of the property appears to be the <br />construction of a home or the property would likely <br />revert to tux delinquent status if not built on. Adams <br />noted that the applicant's good faith effort to obtair <br />additional property should also be added to the <br />resolution. <br />Councilmember Frahm stated that the finding that. the <br />property is consistent with the current pattern of <br />development in the neighborhood should be r.dded to the <br />resolution. <br />Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember L. Adams seconded, to <br />approve Resolution $1721, A Resolution Approving a <br />Variance to allow construction of a home, subject to the <br />following findings ueing added to the resolution: <br />1. The highest and best use of the property appears to <br />be the constructions of a home or the property would <br />likely revert to tax delinquent status if not bui It <br />on. <br />�. Applicant has made a good faith effort to obtain <br />additional property. <br />3. This property is consistent with the current <br />pattern of development in the neighborhood. <br />Motion, Ayes (4), Nays (0). <br />Mayor Butler asked that this resolution be brought back <br />to the Council's next meeting to see that all the <br />additions were made in the resolution. <br />
