i <br />uLAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, JANUARY 23, 1984. PAGE <br />.06 <br />CRYSTAL BAY/STUBBS BAY <br />SEWER FEASIBILITY REPORT City Engineer Cook presented the feasi bi 1 i ty report f or <br />the Crystal Bay/Stubbs Bay area. <br />Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Frahm seconded, to <br />approve the feasibility report for the Stubbs <br />Bay/Crystal Bay area, subject to page 9 being deleted. <br />Motion, Ayes (3), Nays (0). <br />FOURTH AND FINAL PAYMENT <br />82-2 - VALLEY PAVING City Engineer Cook- stated that there has been additional <br />costs because they underestimated the project in the <br />beginning. <br />Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Frahm seconded, to <br />approve the fourth and final payment in the amount of <br />$39,314.45 to Valley Paving. Motion, Ayes (3), Nays <br />(0). <br />ORDER #2 - VALLEY <br />PAVING - EXTENSION OF <br />TIME ONLY City Engineer stated that. this was an extension of time <br />from July 31 to September 30, 1983, due to the bad <br />weather. <br />Councilmember Adams moved, Mayor Butler seconded, to <br />approve Change Order 12; an extension of time only. <br />Motion, Ayes (3), Nays (0). <br />MINNEHAHA CREEX WATERSHED <br />DISTRICT APPOINTMENTS Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Frahm seconded, to <br />appoint Norman Paurus to the Minnehaha Creek Watershed <br />District Board, and to further instruct the City <br />Administrator to notify as many of the lake area mayors <br />as possible soliciting their support. Motion, Ayes <br />(3), Nays (0). <br />V10U10R OF OMISSION <br />TERMS Mayor Butler stated that the City should adopt a policy <br />on limiting the number of terms that any individual can <br />serve on the commissions. Butler stated that <br />limiting the number of terms would provide the <br />opportunity for other people to participate. Mayor <br />Butler suggested limiting the number of terms to 2 3- <br />year terms for the Planning Commission. Butler <br />suggested that this informal policy apply just to the <br />Planning Commission because of the heavy workload and <br />time spent in front of the public. <br />Councilmember Adams stated that there is plenty of <br />people waiting to get on the Planning Commission but <br />not so many waiting to be appointed to the Park or Human <br />Rights Commission. Adams stated that they could <br />always rotate back on the commission. <br />
