St. Anthony <br />100,000/Business Expansion <br />100,000/Downtowr Renewal <br />17,600/'Walkway <br />77,500/Sewer Construction <br />6,500/Assisted Housing <br />Site Clearance <br />Isaacson explained that through a misunderstanding between the Hennepin <br />County Office of Planning and Development and the Community Services <br />Department, the status of the Day Care/Newly Employed activity had been <br />wrongly reported to the Committee August 23, 1984, at which time f2' —10 <br />was recommended for recapture. In fact, over $30,000 in service ?n <br />provided through July 31, rather than the lack of activity repor The <br />level of service was stated in a memo from Shirley Hendrickson, F ,..,m <br />Administrator. Ms. Hendrickson projected that the entire $42,000 apprcved <br />for the activity will be utilized by December 31, 1984 and will be <br />warranted as soon as possible. The Committee acted to reinstate the <br />$21,000 to this activity, thus excluding that amount from reprogramming. <br />The Committee began deliberations toward formulating a recommendation on <br />the reprogramming of the $108,816 in recaptured funds by inviting the <br />representatives in attendance to present the requests from their agencies. <br />Each representative spoke to their request and answered questions. <br />After the presentations, the Committee went through the remainder of the <br />requests submitted. The Committ• las generally impressed by all the <br />requests and sympathetic to the is expressed. <br />Upon deliberation, the Committee acted to recommend to the County Board <br />that the following four ectivit'.es be approvel for funding: <br />1. Hennepin County Training and <br />Employment Assistance <br />2. Dayton <br />3. Corcoran <br />4. St. Anthony <br />$69,500/Diseased Tree <br />Removal <br />25,000/Neighborhood <br />Revitalization <br />7,816/Housing Rehab <br />6,500/,Assisted Housing <br />Site Clearance <br />The (lays and Means Committee of the Hennepin County Board will hold a <br />public hearing on the recommendation at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October <br />11, 1984 and pass its action on to the County Board for approval on <br />Tuesday, October 23, 1984. <br />mlg <br />
