Gerhardson, Public Wort--:s Coordinator <br />Uatet October 1 1984 <br />J Suh. is Crystal Bay Sewer - Appraisal of Individual Properties <br />On September 24, 1984, Council directed staff to contract <br />with a pivate appraiser to determine before and after property <br />valuer Jae 83 parcels affected by the proposed sanitary <br />proji - Crystal Bay area. <br />In ast the City of Orono has conrract!ed the servi ct _'f <br />Peter Patct Pppraisers. <br />I contacted Mr. Patchin and was informed that his sr-hedule <br />would not allow him to begin a project like this for at least six <br />weeks. (November 13) and that it would tak- at lust Aix weeks to <br />complete. The cost for Patchin services would amcunt to S9,000 - <br />f 1 O, Uoc). <br />Because of the costs and time element involved it was <br />determined that we should contact an agency that would bt <br />available now. <br />On September 27, 1984, Tcm Radio, Michael Gaffron and <br />Mr. .lcihn Ferrell, Appraisal Associates from Hamel, Minnesota. <br />The ittacheH letter offers two proposals, one for a random <br />selection •ppr o , of 0 of the he imea a 3 l ec—__2o ani one -for an <br />appraisal of 87 �_ -rcel %. <br />So that we can proceed w i � h somet4hat of a reasonable <br />schedule and save dollars it is my recommendation to contract <br />with Mr. Fcrr 11 to perform appraisals of 20% of th.- parcels <br />involved in th Lrystal Bay area. <br />
