Purpose: <br />The purpose of this action item is to approve an extended operating period. <br />Item: 5 <br />2. License Applicant(s): <br />The following companies registered as solicitors for the standard 10 days and request to extend <br />their time in Orono to continue outreach efforts. <br />City code gives council the authority to authorize an additional 50 days beyond the initial <br />registration period. Approval of this extension would authorize these solicitors to continue door- <br />to-door sales into December. <br />• Wolf Builders, a company providing storm restoration and exterior remodeling, with a team <br />of three registered representatives. <br />• Edward Jones, a financial services firm, with one registered representative. <br />3. Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends authorizing the extra 50 days. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Consider a motion to approve extending the operating period by fifty 50 days. <br />29 <br />
