AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: October 13, 2025 <br />Title: Police Department Body Worn Camera Audit <br />Presenter: Correy Farniok, Police Chief <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Item: 11 <br />Purpose: <br />Minnesota state statute 13.825 Sub. 9 requires law enforcement agencies, equipped with portable <br />recording systems, to conduct a biennial audit and provide the results to its governing body. In <br />order to comply with this statute, the police department engaged the Minnesota Security <br />Consortium (MNSec) to audit the department's body worn camera system. This audit covered <br />from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025. The audit found the Orono Police Department is using <br />the system in compliance with Minnesota statutes 13.825 and 626.8473. A copy of the audit <br />executive summary is attached. <br />2.
