Zoning File #1536 <br />August 8, 1990 <br />Page 2 <br />The applicant was not in favor of postponing his original <br />proposal until such time that the municipal sewer becomes <br />available. The City is still in the process of determining <br />whether such a sewer is feasible. <br />The application also included a request to vacate the <br />adjacent alley. Because less than 50% of the neighboring <br />affected property owners have petitioned for such a vacation, the <br />Planning Commission tabled that request until the required number <br />of petitions has been received. The Planning Commission felt <br />that the revised proposal reduces the extent of the additions to <br />a magnitude which is not affected by the vacation or non -vacation <br />of the alley. <br />Staff Reco■i■iendation <br />Based on the Planning Commission recommendation, staff <br />recommends approval per the attached resolution. <br />lsv <br />
