, CROWO COUNCIL HEETING MELD APRIL 12, 1976 <br />Page 3 <br />Wassengale moved, Paurus seconded, to approve <br />the conditional use permit for Ronald Ross, <br />1960 Lakeview Terrace, subject to the <br />Planning Commission Minutes of April 5, 1976 <br />and receipt of open space easement on Lot 2, <br />Block 1, Long Lake Country Club Addition. <br />lotion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). <br />Henry iduhich, Building & Zoning Administrator, <br />stated that Richard Rowlette recently purchased <br />the old Betz property at 3775 Bayside Road. <br />This is the property with which previous <br />problems of right-of-way encroachment was just <br />resolved in 1975 through a rearrangement of <br />i,ak^ Street. <br />The location of the existing dwelling does not <br />conform to the street setback requirement of <br />50 ft. and hardcover and lakeshore setback <br />requirement of 75 ft. Hr. Rowlette is now <br />requesting variances from this setback <br />requirement for an addition to this existing <br />structure. The proposed 36' X 28' addition <br />consists of a dining room, second eating space <br />and a two car garage. The setbacks of the <br />proposed addition would be 66 ft. from the <br />lakeshore and 20 ft. from the street property <br />line. <br />Therefore, the variances requested would be <br />9 ft. from the lakeshore setback reouirement <br />and 30 ft. from the street setback requirement <br />and variance from the 75 ft. lakeshore hardcover <br />setback of 378 sq. ft. for the proposed <br />addition for a total of 778 sq. ft. of hardcover. <br />The existing structure includes a 20' X 20' concrete <br />patio deck facing the lakeshore. iir. Rowlette <br />has agreed to remove this 400 sq. ft. of <br />hardcover and replace same with a larger open <br />redwood deck if the sethack variances are approved. <br />The maximum area of this proposed addition <br />extending into the 75 ft. lakeshore setback <br />would not exceed 200 sq. ft.
