Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MM 55323 <br />Dear City Administrator: <br />Enclosed is the School Referendum Fact Sheet which is being <br />distributed to all patrons in our district. The referendum will be <br />hold on October 9th. <br />As a city councilperson for one of the cities in our district, <br />we felt you might like to have a personal copy. If one has already <br />reached your residence, possibly you know of someone who might like <br />to have it. <br />The referendum represents the minimum needed to maintain a quality <br />program for the young people of the district. Additional budget cuts <br />beyond those planned would be severely damaging in our opinion. <br />As you will note from the Fact Sheet, there are certain "trade-offs" <br />in the school's levy this year (non -recurring levies in other areas of <br />the budget) which reduce the 4% mills to 3. Also, because of a sub- <br />stantial valuation increase for the coming year, the referendum funds <br />can be added without increasing the school's mill rate. <br />We will appreciate your support of the referendum and, if you <br />have a question, do not hesitate to call. <br />Sincerely, <br />1 <br />Asses E.
