MINUTES OF THE REGULAP COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 27, 1984. PAGE 9 <br />NORTH SHORE DRIVE MARINA Hork stated that the portion that was dredged is the <br />portion of the .lake that the old docks covered. Hork <br />stated that silt gathered underneath the docks and <br />then when the new docks were put in that it needed <br />dredging. Hork stated that the LMCD has already <br />approved his dock plan. Hork stated that the City <br />required him to submit a letter from that east property <br />owner to park the houseboat on that side. Hork stated <br />that the adjacent property owner submitted a letter <br />stating that they didn't mind if the boat was parked <br />there. <br />Herman Renner stated that the battle with the marina <br />has been going on for 25 years. Renner stated that <br />they were promised that this marina would not use the <br />east side of the property to park boats. <br />Councilmember Frahm moved, Councilmember Grabek <br />seconded, to approve Resolution #1664, A Resolution <br />Approving a 1984 Con;mercirl Dock License for North <br />Shore Drive Marina subject to condition #1 being <br />removed and Mr. Hork moving the boat on the east side of <br />the property. Motion, Ayes (5), hays (0). <br />Councilmember Hammerel moved, Councilmember Adams <br />seconded, to al;ow Hork to complete the dredging by <br />Tuesday and further- directs Hork to apply to the City <br />and any other agencies for the necessary permits. <br />Motion, Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />CHASKA MARINA UPDATE Zoning Administrator Mabusth stated that Steve Pauley <br />notified her that he would be unable to attend. <br />Mabusth stated that Pauley stated that one fence is up <br />and that the other will be installed as soon as the <br />materials arrive with concrete footings. <br />PLAN REVIEW MAPLE <br />PLAIN INTERCEPTOR City Engineer Cook gave Council an update on the plan <br />review for the Maple Plain Interceptor. Cook noted <br />that the size of the pipe has been changed. <br />Council directed City Administrator Benson to write a <br />letter to the Met Council noting Orono's concerns <br />about changing the size of the pipe. <br />WILLOW DRIVE OVERLAY <br />BID AWARD City Engineer Cook stated that the lowest bidder was <br />Bury and Carlson. <br />Mayor Butler moved, Hammerel seconded, to award the <br />Willow Drive Overlay project to Bury and Carlson <br />pending approval of MN GOT. Motion, Ayes (5), Nays <br />(0). <br />
