Access <br />=. cleancut pipe of at least six inches diameter shall extend to <br />z:-.e ground surfac- and be provided with seals to prevent odor <br />anc to exclude insects and vermin. A manhole of at least 20 <br />:-C„es least dimension shall extend through the cover to a point <br />hin 12 inches, but no closer than six inches below finished <br />grade. The manhole cover shall be covered with at least six <br />_:-.ches of earth. <br />D. Ipth of Bury <br />:'�-,e t_ank shall be protected against flotation under high wat.er- <br />table conditions. This shall be achieved by weight of tank, <br />earth anchors or shallow bury depths. <br />Capacity <br />(1) For a dwelling the size shall be 2,000 gallons, or 400 <br />gallons times the number of bedrooms, whichever is <br />greatest. <br />(2) For permanent stivctures other than dwellings, the <br />capacity shall be based on measured flow rates or <br />estimated flow rates. The tank capacity shall be <br />at least five times the daily flow rate. <br />F. Location <br />Holding tanks shall be located: <br />(1) In an area readily accessible to the pump truck under <br />all weather conditions. <br />(2) As specified for septic tanks. <br />I <br />11 <br />
