as <br />cFr TTnN 17 <br />CHANGF `V CONTRACT PRIC, <br />CONTRACT PRICE <br />The Contract Price constitutes the total compensation (subject to authe-ized <br />adjustments) payable to Contractor for performing the Work. All duties, re- <br />sponsibilities and obligations assigned to or undertaken by Contractor shall <br />be at his expense without change in the Contract Price. <br />12.2 CHANGE IN CONTRACT PRICE <br />Except where unit prices form the basis for payment under the Contract Docu- <br />ments, the Contract Price may only be changed by a Change Order. Any claim <br />for an increase in the Contract Price shall he based on written notice de- <br />liv-!red to Owne- and Engineer within fifteen days of the occurrence of the <br />event giving ri 2 to the claim. Notice of the amount of the claim with sup- <br />porting data shalt. be delivered within forty-five days of such occurrence un- <br />less Engineer allows an additional period of tit_ to ascertain accurate cost <br />data. All claims for adjustment in the Contract Price shall be determined by <br />Engineer if Owner and Contractor cannot otherwise agree on the amount in- <br />volved. Any change in the Contract Price resulting from any such claim shall <br />be incorporated in a Change Order. <br />12.3 BASIS OF CHANGE <br />The cost or credit to the Owner resulting from a change in the work shall be <br />determined and mutually agreed upon in advance of performance of the change in <br />work in one or more of the following ways: <br />12.3.1 By mutual acceptance of a lump sum properly itemized, <br />r"1 <br />12.3.2 By unit prices stated in the Contract Documents or subsequently agreed <br />upon (unit prices shall include an allowance for Contractor's main office ex- <br />pense, overhead, profit and bond), or <br />t� <br />12.3.3 By <br />actual cost of <br />thv changed work, plus an allowance for overhead, <br />supervision <br />and profit, as <br />defined as follows: <br />M. <br />1. The <br />"cost of the <br />charged work" shall mean costs <br />necessarily in- <br />curred <br />in the proper <br />performance of the changed work <br />and paid by Con- <br />tractor <br />at rates not <br />higher than the standard paid in <br />the locality of <br />the work (except with <br />prior cinsent of the Owner as <br />more specificrlly <br />defined <br />as follows: <br />a.
