I:OUNCII MEETING <br />NOV 2 a 10pa <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD NOVEMBER 1.1, 1988 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:00 P.M. <br />The Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Acting Mayor Peterson, Councilmembers Nettles and <br />Goet*_en; Councilmember Callahan and Mayor Grabek were absent. <br />The following represented the City staff: City Administrator <br />Bernhardson, Building & Zoninq Administrator Mabusth, Public <br />Works Director Gerhardson, Assistant Planning and Zoninq <br />Administrator Gaffron, City Att-rney Barrett and City Recorder <br />Scheffler. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Acting Mayor Peterson, to approve the consent Agenda. '- lotion, <br />Ayes=3, Nays-0, Motion passed. <br />APPPROVAL OF MINUTES* <br />It was mo,.4d by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Acting Mayor Peteraon, to approve the Minutes of the October 10, <br />1a88 Regular Council Meeting. Motion, Ayes=3, Nayz=0, Motion <br />passed. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Acting Mayor Peterson, to approve the Minutes of the October 24, <br />1988 Regular Council Meeting. Motion, Ayes=3, Nays=0, Motion <br />passed. <br />PAM COiMI SS ION COIMENTS <br />PARE SURVEY <br />Public Works Director Gerhardson reported that a more <br />economical method of performinq the Park Survey had been found. <br />By revising the method of mailing, the cost would decrease <br />from S2,OCO.00 to 52,500.00, to an amount between $1,500.00 and <br />51,800.O0. The ono page survey would be printed with a return <br />address and bulk mail stamp so it would he mailed out in a first <br />class envelope, but returned as bulk mail. The survey would ask <br />a variety of questions, many of which would pertain to the <br />bike/hike tra11. <br />Councilmember Goetten inquired as to whether the Park <br />Commission would tabulate t6- resul*s themselves and whether `hey <br />would be funAing the survey? Ger~,ardson rPFlied that thH Fark <br />c'ommi.asion would *abulatA the surveys. The su-vev is n -in <br />a I.owable expenditure for the use of the park delicstIr f-ps. <br />the project would be funded by the Cit.y's Gerera 1 Fund. <br />Councilmamber Goetten expressed her wish *o see the survey <br />and Actinv Mayor Peterson and Councilmember Nettles concurred. <br />City Administrator Bernharjson commented that the LMCD's <br />brochure on Furaiian Milfoil would be mailed along with the Park <br />
