O)WIL iVl '�TAif6 <br />MINUTES OF THE 1988 CANVASSING BOARD MEETING HELD <br />NOVEMBER 9, 1988 <br />ATTENDANCE 5:67 P.M. <br />The Orono Council met as the 1988 <br />Canvassing Board on the above date with <br />the following members present: Mayor <br />Grabek, Councilmembers Nettles and <br />Peterson. Councilmembers Goetten and <br />Callahan were absent. The following <br />represented City staff: City <br />Administrator Bernhardson and Public <br />Works Gerhardson. <br />1988 CITY ELECTION RESULTS <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson to certify the <br />results of the November 3, 1988 City <br />election as follows: Mayor - two year <br />term, James Grabek receiving 1,378 votes. <br />Councilmembers - four year terms, Barbara <br />Peterson receiving 2,639 votes and Edward <br />J. Callahan, Jr. receiving 2,300 votes <br />and Councilmember - two year term, Alan <br />Nettles receiving 2,124 votes. Motion, <br />Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />APPOINTMENT OF ACTING MAYOR FOR <br />NOVRMBER 14, 1988 COUNCIL MEETING <br />As both the Mayor and Acting Mayor were <br />not expected to be present at the <br />November 14, 1988 Council meeting, Mayor <br />Grabek moved and Councilmember Nettles <br />seconded the appointment of Councilmember <br />Peterson as Acting Mayor for the November <br />14, 1988 Council meeting. ayes 3, Nays <br />0. <br />ADJOURNMENT 5:15 P.M. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, <br />seconded by Councilmember Nettles to <br />adjourn the 1988 Canvassing Board meeting <br />at 5:15 P.M.
