MINUTES OF THE ORONO COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 10, 1988 <br />NAVARRE CROSSWALK* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to direct staff to notify Hennepin County <br />that the City of Orono is requesting a crosswalk be allowed at or <br />near its present location in the Navarre Business Area dependent <br />upon the location of the MTC bus shelter in the Navarre Business <br />Area. Motion, Ayes-4, Nays=0, Motion passed. <br />CRYSTAL BAY ROAD* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, that staff be directed to place this item <br />for discussion on the agenda for the October 24, 1988 Council <br />Meeting. Ayes=4, Nays=O, Motion passed. <br />BOHNS POINT FEASIBILITY STUDY* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to withdraw the feasibility study for the <br />upgrade of Bohn's Point Road. Ayes=4, Nays=O, Motion passed. <br />HAZARDOUS BUILDING PROCEEDINGS <br />2180 PROSPECT <br />RESOLUTION #2521 <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained that the house at <br />2180 Prospect had been in a deteriorating state for a number of <br />years. The house is no longer occupied. One of the basement <br />walls has caved in and there are several other structural and <br />environmental problems with the house. The City would like to <br />initiate hazardous building proceedings. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to adopt Resolution #2521. Motion, <br />Ayes=4, Nays=0, Motion passed. <br />MOUND FIRE CONTRACT* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to approve the revised language for the <br />Contract for Fire Service withthe City of Mound and to approve <br />the 1989 cost to Orono of $53,425.00. Ayes=4, Nays=O, Motion <br />passed. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />DELINQUENT CHARGES/PAYMENTS RESOLUTION #2522* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to adopt Resolution #2522, adopting the <br />assessment roll for hazardous Building Actions, 1988. Ayes=4, <br />Nays-0, Motion passed. <br />HAZARDOUS BUILDINGS RESOLUTION #2523* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to adopt Resolution #2523, providing for <br />the collection of delinquent charges for 1988 sewer and water <br />utility services and annual septic inspection program fees. <br />Ayes=4, Nays=O, Motion passed. <br />28 <br />
