�I <br />WESTONKA AREA CHAMBER OF COMME EI ljl��j <br />BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE �� 2 <br />MINUTES OF 10-26-88 MEETINCZ.` <br />Members present: <br />Chic Remien, Gene Shavlik, John Gehardson, Jim Fackler, <br />Carol Pitsch, Lisa Johnson, Dr. Harold Pellett, Suzi <br />Pauli, Dorothy Stannard <br />Topics discussed: <br />1. Chic indicated she will be doing something to express <br />appreciation to the Hennepin County people for their <br />cooperation through out the construction. <br />2. Next we took a bus ride starting at the Navarre end so <br />we could all discuss key issues through -out the <br />project. <br />Here are some of the comments that were made. <br />Corner of 15 & 19 <br />This is considered a hub and the entrance to the <br />new construction so it should be given special <br />attention. <br />Each business on the 4 corners should be contacted <br />to find out what their plans are and to indicate <br />to them what our plans are. <br />Dr Pellett indicated that it would be difficult to <br />plant trees in planters on the North side because <br />they probably would not live. Flowers, etc. would <br />be better. <br />Possibly we could plant trees on the South side along <br />the shopping center if their was enough room. (See <br />trees section later in minutes) <br />Launch Site in Spring Park can be improved on. <br />(See trees section later in minutes) <br />Intersection by the Minnetonka Mist <br />This is considered Spring Parks hub and special <br />consideration should be given to this corner. <br />Stop lights by the Spur gas station is considered <br />a focal point. <br />Screening <br />Certain property needs to be screened or cleaned up. <br />Here are examples but the list is not all inclusive. <br />1. Zucarros garbage truck business. <br />2. Trucks that sell roses. <br />3. Auto repair facility in Navarre. <br />4. Auto sales business in Spring Park. <br />5. The parking lot in the old Tonka <br />building in Spring Park where the <br />
