LMCD Board Minutes <br />October 26, 1988 <br />Provisions. Duvick circulated a photo showing the Nelson boat <br />as extending significantly into their dock -use -area. For the <br />record it is noted that the Holmes-Duvick property does not contain <br />a residence while the Nelson property does. Duvick explained that <br />they do have an interest in applying for a dredging permit which <br />will assist all parties in their water access. At the invitation <br />of Rascop, Nelson did state that he preferred that the variance <br />application not be withdrawn at this time, requesting that it be <br />delayed until he and his neighbors are able to reach a satisfactory <br />agreement. Rascop moved, Pillsbury seconded that the Nelson vari- <br />ance application be held until the next Board meeting. The motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />c) Rockvam Deicing Application Request. The committee recommendation <br />that the Rockvam deicing application be handled as one permit to <br />include the dock operations at Site 1, 4068-60 Sunset Drive, and <br />Site 2, 4056 Sunset Drive, and be recommended for approval to the <br />Board. Boswlnkel moved, Kraemer seconded that the Rockvam deicing <br />application be accepted as one permit for both sites, and be <br />approved as recommended. The motion carried unanimously. <br />d) Deicing Applications for License Renewal. The following deicing <br />applications have been received as of 10-11-88: <br />Advance Hachaine Co. <br />Minnetonka Yacht Club <br />Anderson, Steve J. <br />North Shore Drive Marina <br />Clay Cliffe Homeowners Assn. <br />Resberg, Paul F. <br />Crystal Bay Service <br />Rockvam Boat Yards, Inc. <br />Curly's Mtka Marina Inc. <br />Smith Bay Marina, Inc. <br />Elshaug, Frank <br />Taylor, Dave <br />Fairview Hospi-als <br />Tooke Bay Marina 6 Yacht Club <br />Gayle's Marina Corp. <br />Wallace, Rodney S. <br />Grays Bay Resort 6 Mari <br />Wayzata, City of <br />Howard's Point Marina <br />Wayzata Yacht Club <br />Maxwell Bay Marina, Inc. <br />Welch, Russell C. <br />Minnetonka Boat Works (Orono) <br />Wyer, James I. <br />Minnetonka Boat Works (Wayz) <br />In conjunction with these renewal application approvals, it was <br />noted that the adjoining neighbors would be notified by letter <br />of their neighbors' intentions to deice. Deicing licenses would <br />be issued upon passing of inspection of the Code stipulations in <br />52.09, Subd. 4, items a) through h). Foster moved, Kraemer <br />seconded that the deicing applications be approved as presented, <br />licenses subject to inspection and full compliance with the Code <br />as stipulated. The motion carried nnanlmously. <br />e) Deicing Annual Application Fee Requirement to Retain ncicing <br />Statue. The Executive Director reviewed experiences of recent <br />year, where some deicing applicants have requested to have their <br />deicing license retained while not conducting a deicing operation <br />for a given year. The low water has prompted some applicants to <br />write and say they do not plan to deice this year, but asked that <br />
