Bernhardson, City Administrato <br />Date: September 20, 1988 <br />Subject: Administrative Action <br />ATTACHMENTS - <br />A. Personnel Rules Section 209 <br />ISSUE - Council approval of a suspension for Mr. Larry Tomcheck <br />related to the violation of City rules. <br />INTRODUCTION - At an Administrative Hearing, Mr. Tomcheck was <br />found in violation of City Personnel Rules on two separate, <br />unrelated occassions. <br />DISCUSSION - As a result of this I am recommending that he be <br />given a two day suspension to be arranged between the of and <br />himself together with an additional one day suspens' ch is <br />held in advance provided that he has no same imilar <br />violations before April 1, 1989. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Accept the recommendation as presented. <br />2. Undertake a full hearing on the matter. <br />3. Hear only if there is an appeal. <br />4. Table for further discussion. <br />5. Choose to take r. ction. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Council confirm the <br />dis is plane with a hearing to be held should the individual choose <br />to appeal the suspension. Mr. Tomcheck has demonstrated <br />excellent performance since the incidents and investigative <br />hearing. <br />PROPOSED MOTION: Moved by , seconded by , to approve to <br />confirm the discipline with an appeal hearing to be held should <br />the individual choose to appeal the suspension.
