54 u-31?fi5 <br />City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION Of THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 2431 <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />VARIANCES TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 13, <br />SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISION 2, <br />SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 15(P), AND <br />SECTION 10.25, SUBDIVISION 6(B)- <br />FILE #1260 <br />WHEREAS, John Nyquist (hereinafter "the applicant") is the owner <br />of the property located at 1432 Baldur Park Road within the City of Orono <br />(hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 7, Block 1, Baldur Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br />(hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a variance to <br />Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 13 and 10.03, Subdivision <br />15(F) to allow construction of a detached garage to be located 5' from the <br />side lot 1 ine and 20' from the street lot line where a side setback of 10' <br />and a street setback of 30' are normally required, and for a variance to <br />Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 to allow hardcover in excess of the 25% <br />hardcover normally allowed in the 75-250' lakeshore setback zone. <br />Minnesota: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />. This application was reviewed as Zoninq File 01260. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-lC Single Famil} Lakeshore <br />Residential Zoning District. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on April <br />18, 1988 and recommended approval of the proposed variance based upon <br />the following findings: <br />A) The existing garage located 2' from the side lot line will <br />be replaced with a new, larger gr.cage located 5' from the lot <br />1 ine.
