Crantinc A Variance to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Sections 34.552, 34.610 and 38.201 - File 695 <br />Whereas, Guenther Roth (hereafter "applicant")isthe owner <br />of a property le,cated at 1428 Baldur Park Road within the City of Orono <br />(hereinafter "City") and legally described as Lot 9, Block 1 and Lots 17 <br />and 18, Block 2, Baldur Park (hereafter "property"); and <br />Whereas, the applicant has appl ied to the City for variances <br />to municipal zoning code sections 34.552 and 38.2.01 to permit the <br />construction of a 24' x 22' detached garage 5 feet from the interior lot <br />line instead of the required 10 feet and 10 feet from the street <br />property line instead of the required 30 feet and to Section 34.610 to <br />allow a 14% increase of hardcover over the allowed 1,02.4 square feet or <br />25% of hardcover within the ?5 feet to 250 feet lAkeshore setback area. <br />Now, Therefore Be It Resolved by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />Findings <br />1. This application was reviewed as zoning file no. 695. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-IC Single Family Lakeshore <br />Residential zoning district. <br />3. The proposed detached garage with required drive/turnaround <br />to be located on Lot P will result in 603 square feet or 14% <br />increAse in hardcover within the 75 feet to 751 feet sethack area <br />and a reduction of approxiately 453 square feet of hardcover <br />within the 0-75 feet setback areA. <br />4.
