Box 66 <br />Crystal Pay, IMN 55323 <br />Re: Guenther Roth - Zoning variance #695 <br />Dear members of the commission, <br />I am sorry I am unable to attend the August 15, 1983 <br />meeting of the commission in person, but a pre -arranged <br />business trip out of town prevents my attendkance. I am <br />in receipt of the notice of retion of the commission <br />regarding my property on paldur Park Road, and T am afraid <br />I find items number 1 and 5 completely unaccepLable. <br />Constriction of the gara,-,e on lot 8, the home side of <br />the road is not what I requested, nor is it what was innitially <br />approved by the commission on July 19, 1982. At that time <br />we were informed by the commission that the location <br />presented no problem. The size of the structure, the draina e , <br />and the ability to support two stories were the only concerns. <br />Based upon the July 19, 1982 meeting, I sent Mr. Curtis <br />Fist( a contractor, to the commission with plans which complid <br />with those recommendations. As noted in the July 19, 1982 <br />the location was no longer in question. <br />All of the recommendations of the commission's original <br />notice have been met. We have reduced the size, eliminated <br />the second story, and have positioned the buildinc; so as to <br />meet the requirements of the commission. We have also made <br />plans to Ric Rack the shore line. The old gara-e will be <br />demolished and the refuse hauled away. <br />While the neighbors have expressed no objection to the <br />new garage, it seems that the commission would rather see the <br />old run-down garage remain rather than see it replaced <br />by a new, modern structure. I am confident that the neighbors <br />would like to see the old "eye sort" replaced in the light of <br />the new constuction on either side of my property. The neigh- <br />borhoods appearance could only be improved by our plans. <br />
