PAGE 4 <br />EX s c Q <br />#988 MERTES continued Sawmwwg'1 <br />Tom Corson, 3241 Casco Circle, was present and stated that <br />the lot in question was not consistent with the other lots in <br />the area. He also stated that the existing garage on the lot <br />should be removed whether the variance is granted or not. Mr. <br />Corson felt that the original variance should not have been <br />granted being this lot is only 54' in width. <br />Jim Mci lei stated that they felt they would not have a problem <br />neeting the setbacks and hardcover requirements. <br />Cnetten su-ated that the entire Casco Point area is a high <br />intense residential area. She noted that the lot size was <br />consistent with the area although it would be one of the <br />smallest lets. <br />Tom Corson stated that they would be making a crowded <br />situation even more crowded. He questioned the initial <br />intent of the ordinance requiring a 100' lot width. <br />Chairman Callahan stated that the lot was intended to provide <br />a residence and the hardship is that there is no other <br />adjacent property available. <br />There were no more comments from the public and the public <br />hearing wa 3 clos-e,l. <br />It was moved by Rovegno, seconded by Goetten, to recommend <br />renewal of the lot width and lot area variances noting that <br />the Issues (1-7) and Findings (1-19) , prepared by staff, were <br />found to be sufficient. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 1. Kelley voted <br />nay stating it would be overbuilt for lot size. <br />#989 HENNEPIN COUNTY DEPT.
