City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 1494 <br />Granting Variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 34.516 File 746 <br />Whereas, Mike Sjekl.ochli is the owner (hereafter "owner") of <br />property located within the City of Orono (hereafter "City") at 1424 <br />Baldur Park Road legally described as Lot 9, Block 1, Baldur Park <br />(hereafter "property"); and <br />Whereas, the owner has applied to the City for a variance to <br />municipal zoning code section 34.511 t(, allow a 15' X 25' rear addition <br />to his existinq residence resulting in an increase of 375 square feet of <br />hardcover over the allowed amount of 1,163 square feet of hardcover for <br />the property within the 75'-250' setback area as allowed by Section <br />34.510. <br />Minnesota: <br />Now, Therefore Be Tt Resolved by the City Council of Orono, <br />Findings <br />1. This application was reviewed as zoning file no. 745. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-IC Single Family Lakeshore <br />Residential zoning district. <br />3. The proposed addition is to be no larger than 15' X 25' , two <br />st:,ries high. <br />4. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on <br />May 16, 1983, and recommended approval of the variance as <br />requested based upoi. the following findings: <br />a) The proposed addition is consistent with the <br />improvements to existing residences on other properties on <br />Baldur Park. <br />b) No additi,,nal land is avallal . <br />c) The location and use of the addition will not be <br />detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare nor <br />have a detrimental effect on the surrounding property <br />values. <br />d) The proposed variance applicat-ion does not require any <br />other variances to the municipal zoning code <br />
