• Auto Insurance: $1 M minimum (includes owned, hired, non -owned vehicles) <br />• Workers' Compensation: Compliant with state law, plus <br />• $500K per employee (illness or injury) <br />• $500K total for illness <br />• $500K for accidental injuries <br />• You must ensure subcontractors are also covered. <br />SELECTION <br />RIGHTS <br />The city reserves the right to: <br />• Reject any or all proposals, or parts of them <br />• Negotiate changes to proposals after they are submitted <br />• Accept parts of a proposal based on more than just cost <br />• Change the scope of work to increase or decrease the size or cost of the project <br />12.06141 •=1 <br />The city intends to follow this general process to select a contractor: <br />REVIEW <br />City staff will review all qualified proposals and may ask for more details or clarification. Staff will try <br />to negotiate a contract with the top -rated proposer. If that doesn't work, they may move on to the <br />next best proposer. <br />APPROVAL <br />Once a draft contract is ready, city staff will bring it to the City Council for review and approval. A <br />sample contract is included in the Attachment section. <br />The new contract is expected to begin October 1, 2025, unless another date is agreed upon by both <br />parties. <br />CRITERIA <br />The city will consider the following when choosing a contractor: <br />• Understanding of the project and services required <br />• Qualifications and ability to meet the city's needs <br />Page 10 of 27 <br />i V, <br />
