Determine if the Council desires to undertake a feasibility <br />study based on the attached petition. <br />2. Determine what interest the Council has, if any, on the <br />pubic takeover of Bohns Point Circle, which is currently <br />privately owned but publically maintained. <br />INTRODUCTION - The City is in receipt of Attachment A, petition <br />regarding an upgrade to Bohns Point Road. Part of the <br />improvement would be to expand the current width of 20 feet to an <br />expanded width of 22 feet. As noted the Circle is presently <br />privately owned but publically maintained with the City having <br />easements for sewer and water around the circle. <br />DISCUSSION - <br />1. Feasibility - As indicated by the City Engineer it is <br />estimated that the feasibility study for widening the project and <br />the necessary overlay will cost, about 51,000 together with an <br />additional $1,000 to do the soil borings. The number of owners <br />abutting is 21 representing 51% of the street frontage. <br />2. Public Takeover - Should the Cicy choose to do any public <br />work on the Circle portion of the road the City would by <br />necessity have to take it over. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Issue 1.
