Motion, Ayes-5, Nays-1, Motion passed. <br />#1286 GARY RODERICK CONSTRUCTION <br />1749 NORTH FARM ROAD <br />VARIANCE <br />SECOND REVIEW <br />Applicant was present for this matter. <br />This is a continuation of a Public Bearing. The request is to build a <br />6' high fence on the property along County Road 6. The proposed location of <br />the fence is considered to be a front or sidestreet yard. There are some <br />existing, but immature, trees and shrubs in this proposed fence location. <br />Applicant's concerns are that children could run out onto County Road 6. <br />Noise from County Road 6 is also a problem, as well as headlights from <br />traffic travelling west on County Road 6. Adjacent property owners are <br />concerned that a 6' fence does not fit into Orono's landscaping scheme of <br />openness and natural fencing using vegetation.
