LMCD Board Minutes <br />June 22, 1988 <br />Page 2 <br />Reese Moved, Pillsbury Se,onded that the Advisory Committee report <br />COMP PLAN/ <br />be accepted, and that the contract terms with Arndorfer Associates, <br />ARNDORFER K <br />Inc. for the Comprehensive Management Plan for Lake Minnetonka be <br />to 2 YRS <br />adjusted for completion from 36 months to 24 months. Motion, Ayes <br />1121, Nays 101. <br />I� <br />Reese Moved, Weisser Seconded that the terms of the conttaet with <br />ARNDORFER � <br />Arndorfer Associates, Inc. be reviewed by Attorney LeFevere for ad- <br />CONTRACT <br />justment to base payment on per cent of completion of each task as <br />the primary payment measure. Motion, Ayes I121, Nays (0). <br />PUBLIC RELATIONS 6 EDUCATION COMMITTEE, Rascop reported that the <br />initial meeting of the Public Relations and Education Committee, <br />minutes distributed at this meeting, was held to review the LMCD <br />program and its relationship to public relations and education. <br />The program focus should be towards raising the image of the Dis- <br />trict. Tie consultant, Kelvin Miller of Primariva Limited, was asked <br />to develop background for policy and program recommendations for <br />consideration by the Board, targeted for the September Board meeting. <br />Harr Moved, Bjorlln Seconded that the committee report be accepted. <br />P R 6 ED <br />Upon discussion as to authorization not having peen presented to <br />COMMITTEE <br />the Board concerning the consultant's hiring, Harr Moved, Weisser <br />Seconded that action on this committee Le tabled. Motion, Ayes (101, <br />Nays 121, Pillsbury and Slocum voting Nay. <br />1989 BUDGET, Hurt Moved, Pillsbury Seconded that the 1989 bu.•,t <br />1989 <br />be ado ted and certified to the villages. Motion, Ayes 1121, Nays <br />BUDGET <br />1o). <br />OTHER BUSINESS, Harr reported that the Metro Waste Control Commis- <br />sion plans to cut an Orono sewage -treatment lift -station improvement <br />project in the Baldur Park area which would eliminate raw sewage <br />from g-'ng Into the Lake, as has been happening n the past during <br />modere heavy rainel Orono lift stations can.- c handle t:,e over- <br />flow, a,. so the sewage is pumped into the Ike. <br />Hurt Moved, Rascop Seconded that a resolution be dratted by the <br />WASTE CONTROL <br />attorney to the Macro Waste Control Co. lasion in support of the <br />FOR BALDUR <br />improvement project for the Baldur Park art.. in Orono. Motion, Ayes <br />PARK <br />I121, Nays 101. <br />The Metropolitan Council Systems Committee has nFfered the LNCD a <br />MET <br />loan for the Comprehensive Plan for the Management of Lake Minne- <br />'dN <br />tonka. A condition of a loan would be the study :-eing completed <br />by May 1990. The Met Council Systems Committee requires quarterly <br />r. Duits, starting in octoSer. <br />The boat tour to acquaint Hennepin Cointy Judger of violation <br />examples and Code anforncament provisi, ne on the lake has been set <br />for Saturday July 23.
