City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 2485 <br />COMMENDATION TO POLICE RESERVE OFFICER <br />PETER ACHEY <br />WHEREAS, the Orono Police Reserve Unit is a vital part <br />of the Orono Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, Officer Pete Achey has been an intricate part <br />of the Orono Police Reserve for 15 years; and <br />WHEREAS, Officer Pete Achey has, in his 15 years with <br />the Reserves received many letters of commendation for <br />outstanding service; and <br />WHEREAS, Officer Pete Achey has on countless occasions <br />been called out, in the middle of the night to assist in natural <br />disasters, serious car accidents, and numerous other occasions to <br />assist regular patrol officers in their duties; and <br />WHEREAS, Officer Pete Achey has been an inspiration for <br />new officers, providing training, wisdom and encouragement, to <br />better the Reserve Unit. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Council cf. the City <br />of Orono recognizes Reserve Officer Pete Achey, for his <br />dedication to duty to the reserve unit and for his faithful <br />service to the Cities of Orono, Long Lake, Minnetonka Beach and <br />Spring Park. <br />Adopted by the City Council cf the City of Orono, <br />Minnesota at a regular meeting held this 22nd day of August, <br />1988. <br />ATq&,ST: Jam s R.
