�T_T_A L "t EN I I g 9.11 <br />limits for trapping, location, number of traps and approved <br />maintenance procedures of trap lines. Applications for limited <br />permits shall be made to the Chief of Police and shall be <br />accompanied by a written statement of proof of hardship and a <br />certified property owners list of property owners within 500 feet <br />of trapping area. Property owners shall be notified that such <br />application is being considered by the City. The permit fee shall <br />be as set by resolution of the Council. <br />SEC. 9.12. DOG REGULATION AND LICENSING. <br />Subd. 1. Definition. For the purposes of this Section, <br />"owner" means a person who owns, harbors, feeds, boards or keeps a <br />dog. <br />Subd. 2. Running at Large and Biting Dogs Prohibited. <br />It is unlawful for the owner of any dog to permit such animal to <br />run at large. Any dog shall be deemed to be running at large..-wi-tvir <br />the permission of the owner unless it. is on a durable leash securetl <br />to ah' object which it cannot move .and on the premises of thetiaMner; <br />or on a leash and under the control of an accompanying person of <br />suitable age and discretion. Any dog, having bitten a person or <br />other animal, shall be forthwith impounded for the period of <br />incubation. <br />Subd. 3. License Required. It is unlawful for the owner <br />of any dog, six months of age or more, to fail to obtain a license <br />therefor from the City, except as follows: <br />A. Dogs confined to a City licensed commercial <br />kennel need not be individually licensed. <br />B. Dogs confined to a City licensed residential <br />kennel shall be individually licensed but need not wear the license <br />tag while they are confined in the kennel. <br />C. Dogs current'_y licensed by another jurisdiction <br />may be temporarily kept in t'ie City for a period not to exceed <br />thirty days provided the dog wears a tag or other identification <br />from such licensing jurisdiction, and provided that a current City <br />license is obtained if the temporary stay extends beyond thirty <br />days or otherwise becomes permanent. Dogs licensed by other juris- <br />dictions are not exempt from the kennel licensing requirements or <br />from any other provision of this Section. <br />Subd. 4. Application. Application for a dog license <br />shall be upon a form supplied by the City and accompanied by a <br />certificate of a veterinarian, duly licensed to practice veterinary <br />medicine within the State of Minnesota, which certificate shall <br />state that the dog for which application for a license is made, has <br />been innoculated against rabies within six months of the date of <br />the application. No more than two dog licenses shall be issued to <br />ORONO CC 206 (4-1-94) <br />
