Proposed Revision to the Cit;'j Administrative <br />and Personnel Policy <br />ISSUE - Determination as to whether the Council desires to amend <br />the policy to strerighte.. provisions related to sexual harassment. <br />INTRODUCTION - The City adopted a revised personnel policy in <br />November of 1985. To date we have made no changes to that pol icy <br />although we have made "additions" through the compensation plan <br />and part-time benefits plan earlier this spring. <br />As was noted in Lhe July 11, 1988 Administrator's Information the <br />department heads and City Administrator had attended a four hour <br />seminar on sexual harassment. <br />DIS_C_USS_ION_ - Based on information gained in that seminar and the <br />implications that this aspect ^ould have on the organization the <br />proposed draft changes to the policy have been made to more <br />clearly define what constitutes sexual harassment, <br />A. The delineated process for filing a complaint <br />b. Cite examples of inappropriate and u.exceptable <br />behavior <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Adopt as presented <br />2.
