Mr. Farrell atALad that <br />the plan for the deck had been submitted to both the <br />DNR and the MCWD, but they did not have any interest <br />in the deck. <br />Hammerel moved to approve the variance request due to <br />hardship of terrain to build a deck 15' X lit, subject <br />to the following conditions: <br />1, a gravel base of at least 12" . <br />2. The deck ue an open spaced wood deck with an <br />undetermined number of plantings on the deck <br />level for visual screening and to contain the <br />soil and provide nutrient filtration. <br />Motion seconded by McDonald. Vote: Ayes (4), Nays (1) <br />Abstained (1). <br />C. St'-ven Wilson opposed on the basis that no physical <br />hardship was demonstrated and felt it would set a bad <br />precedent. <br />
