City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF RECOGNITION FOR <br />THOMAS M. KUEBN, FINANCE DIRECTOR <br />WHEREAS, Thomas M. Kuehn has been the City's Financial <br />Director since ; and <br />WHEREAS, through his efforts and the efforts others in <br />the organization the City of Orono is in an excellent financial <br />postion; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Kuehn undertook on his own initiative the <br />preparation of substantial additional work in order for the City <br />to be able to submit a financial report for consideration by the <br />Government Finance Officers of America; and <br />WHEREAS, consideration by the G.F.O.A. of financial <br />reports can lead to the City receiving a Certificate of <br />Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting; and <br />WHEREAS, this effort has not only been beneficial *o <br />achieve the award but ad"itionally has been of extremr y <br />beneficial to the Council and staff in its understanding of ie <br />City's financial profile; and <br />wHBRzAS, Mr. Kuehn has undertaken several other efforts <br />to improve timely reporting procedures in the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Mr. Thomas Kuehn be <br />recognized for his excellent efforts in the preparation of *`--e <br />1987 Audit Report; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City congratulate Mr. <br />Kuehn for his efforts in aiding the City to attain its excellent <br />financial position. <br />Adopted by the Orono City Council on this 25th day of <br />July, 1988. <br />ATTEST: James R.
