Lindstrom/Delaney Letter Dated 7/20/88 <br />ISSUE - Determination by the Council as to whether they ant to <br />reconsider construction on Woodhill Avenue. <br />INTRODUCTION - In April of 1987 John McDowell together with <br />Woodhill Country Club submitted an application for .ve lot <br />subdivision on property ablating Woodhill Avenue. is was <br />originally considered by the Planning Commission in June of 1987 <br />with preliminary approval for the subdivision given by the <br />Council at its July 9, 1987 meeting. Concerns as noted in the <br />attachements raised by the neighbors were that the road <br />construction should not go ahead because of concerns nor tha <br />trees in the area and the amount of impact of a cul-de-sac. <br />Council recommended approval with a 22 foot road wiath on the <br />public portion without the cul-de-sac and giving minimal impact <br />to the mature trees on the property. <br />At the Council's August 10, 1987 Council meeting the Council <br />approved undertakir7 the feasibility study for the project. On <br />September 28, 1987 ial subdivision roval conditioned on the <br />execution of an aq 2ment for paymet., the road. An agreement <br />was made with the developer and Wc_3h Country Club where they <br />pay 75% of the cost. The Council established 11/23/87 for t'ie <br />public: hearing on the project. At this public hearing it is <br />-d the primary issue addressed was as had been indicated <br />e that there was limited benefit and concern rega,di•.g the <br />t In advance of this meeting, at the request of the <br />prur,__ty owner at 1315 Woodhill Avenue, had been stake(' at a 22 <br />foot width. The Feasibility E�cudy however did propose a <br />design cf 24 feet, a copy of which the property owner at 1315 <br />Woodhill indicated they did receive. The issue of width was not <br />directly discussed at the meeting and the Council d rected the <br />Engineer to undertake the plans and specifications on a 3-2 vote. <br />
