MINNESOTA 59394 <br />In follow-up to your letter of June 17, 1988 and our recent telephone <br />conversation I have recommended to the Long Lake City Council the use of your <br />mediation process as set forth in the proposal you submitted to Mr. Bernhardson <br />with that letter. The City Council has authorized me to accept your proposal <br />both in terms of the format and the price quoted. We have formally notified <br />the City of Orono of our acceptance and I am writing this letter to you in <br />order to confirm its implementation. We are happy to use the services of <br />Barbara Arney as proposed. We anticipate that the cost will be borne equally <br />by each city. <br />Either myself or Mr. Bernhardson will be in contact with you in the near <br />future with regard to scheduling of the implementation. We look forward to <br />working with the Government Training Service in this most important project. <br />While we have major differences both municipalities are very much aware of the <br />need for this type of interaction. Hopefully it will result in a positive out- <br />come for all concerned Please let me know if you have any additional <br />Information or questions.
