AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: September 8, 2025 <br />Item: 8 <br />Title: LA25-000032, 3745 Shoreline Drive, Conditional Use Permit - Resolution <br />7619 <br />Presenter: Matt Karney, Planner <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Purpose: <br />The applicant requests a conditional use permit for two new accessory storage buildings at church <br />and daycare center. <br />2. MN§15.99 Application Deadline: <br />The application was made on July 21, 2025, and deemed complete on July 25, 2025. The 60-day <br />review period is to expire on September 19, 2025. <br />3. Background: <br />The applicant proposes an amendment to the existing conditional use approval to allow for two <br />additional 196 square foot sheds. The site is currently operating under a conditional use permit <br />(CUP) for place of worship and daycare center uses. Both proposed sheds will be located on the <br />southern end of the existing parking lot, with one shed serving the church and daycare <br />respectively. A CUP is required when there is an intensification of the use or uses subject to the <br />CUP, this includes an increase in building square footage. <br />Link to Planning Commission packet. Planning Commission Vote and Comment: <br />On August 18, 2025, the Planning Commission held a public hearing and discussed the conditional <br />use permit. Following the public hearing, the Commission voted 6-0 to recommend approval of the <br />application as recommended by staff. <br />Link to Planning Commission video. <br />Public Comment: <br />No public comments have been received. <br />6. Staff Recommendation: <br />Planning Staff recommends approval. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Council should move to adopt Resolution 7619, approving the requested conditional use permit subject <br />to conditions. <br />Exhibits <br />A.
