Holding of public hearing regarding proposed i►.iprovement to <br />the upgrade of woodhill Avenue. <br />2. If deemed appropriate ordering in project. <br />3. Direct staff to establish date for hearing for imposition of <br />the assessment when project completed. <br />INTROD_UCT_ION - In order to provide appropriate access for the <br />wooclhi 11 p:at, Woodhi l l Avenue needed to be upgraded to handle <br />the increased volume of traffic. As a result of this, a <br />feasibility study was undertaken to determine the approximate <br />cost. The range of the originial feasibility study had the cost <br />of the project between $50,700 and $61,680 depending on the <br />alternative selected. This has subsequently been amended as the <br />original feasibility study submitted by tLe Engineer was done in <br />advance of soil borings being none on site. Because of soil <br />borings, it was determined that additional expense would be <br />entailed in the project and the Engineer is recommending a <br />revised alternative II with some relocation of the road as <br />alternative I is no longer cost effective. As a condition of the <br />subdivision approval adopted on September 23, 1987 was a <br />requirement that an agreement had to be reached with the <br />subdivider regarding their share of this project improvement. <br />Following negotiations it was agreed that the developer and <br />Woodni l l Country Club would pay 75% of the total cost based on <br />the original feasibility study not to exceed $46,260. Between <br />the parties they agreed Woodhi l l would absorb 3/16 of the cost <br />an,1 Mcr-)owell 9/16. As :>uch this represents a way for the special <br />assessments to be spread up to the maximun, outlined above. <br />The City expedited its consideration and determination of the <br />
