MINUTES OF THE RF.GULT.R ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MAY 23, 1988 <br />1959 SHORELINE DRIVE CONTINUED <br />property. This is an update of that review. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, that the Council accept the <br />information regarding 1950 Shoreline Drive and <br />direct staff to continue in their efforts in <br />relationship to the property. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays <br />0. <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT - <br />ALTERlAATIVE COMPOSTING <br />RESOLUTION #2449 <br />Administrator Bernhardson stated this item was not <br />listed as an asterisk item because staff did not <br />have a resolution for it. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sime, that the City Council adopt <br />Resolution #2440 in support of alternative <br />composting arrangements for selected solid waste <br />materials. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />SALARY ADJUSTMENT -• ROBIN MIRELSON* <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to adjust Assistant Finance <br />Director Robin Mikelson's salary to Level 5 Step <br />III ($10.858 per hour) effective June 1, 1988. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />EMPLOYMENT PART TIME CLERICAL - POLICE DEPARTMENT* <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, that the Orono Council <br />approve the temporary employment of Michael Carlson <br />in the roles as temporary clerical and C.S.O. at a <br />rate of $5.10 per hour effective 5/24i88. <br />Employment subject to budgetary amounts and the <br />return of Rick Denneson as a C.S.O. Motion, Ayes <br />5, Nays 0. <br />SALARY ADJUSTMENT - CHARLES SCHAUSS* <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, the Orono Council authorize <br />the increase for Charles Schauss from $9.854 per <br />hour to $19.613 per hour in accordance with the <br />1987 contract with the change effective 4/26/88. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays P. <br />SALARY ADJUSTMENT - RICK DP.NNESON* <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, that the Orono City Council <br />approves an increase for Rick Denneson, Community <br />Service Officer from $5.10 to $5.562 per hour <br />effective April 15, 1988.
