MINUTES OF THE. REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MAY 23, 1988 <br />RESIGNATION OF WILLIAM J. SIME <br />RESOLUTION #2438 AND <br />DECLARING A VACANCY ON THE COUNCIL <br />RESOLUTION #2439 <br />Mayor Grabek stated the Council had received a <br />letter of resignation from Councilmember William <br />Sime. <br />3536 LYRIC AVENUE <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson that the Council adopt <br />Resolution No. 2438 accepting Councilmember Sime's <br />resignation effective 1 July 1988 and Resolution <br />No. 2439 declaring a council vacancy and <br />additionally establish an open selection process to <br />fill the vacancy. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Administrator Bernhardson stated this is one of the <br />problem properties in the City and a neighbor had <br />requested a review of the progress on the property. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sime, that the Council accept the <br />information regarding 3536 Lyric Avenue and that <br />the staff be directed to further pursue vehicle <br />violations as they relate to the property. Motion, <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />BUILDING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />Administrator Bernhardson refered Council to the <br />City Attorney's memorandum regarding the Building <br />Board of Appeals. He noted the City is currently <br />awaiting resumes from five individuals regarding <br />this matter. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sime, that the Orono Council accept <br />the information regarding the Building Code Board <br />of Appeals. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CRYSTAL BAY ROAD - ROAD REPAIR <br />Administrator Bernhardson stated this is in <br />response to a letter from Timothy Schupp regarding <br />the status of repair on Crystal Bay Road. <br />1950 SHORELINE DRIVE <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sime, the City Council directs the <br />staff to continue efforts to resolve the repair <br />issues on Crystal Bay Road. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays <br />0. <br />Administrator Bernhardson :Mated that at the <br />provious Council meeting under public comments Mr. <br />Tourangeau addressed issues concerning this <br />14 <br />
