. r <br /> r ' <br /> � <br /> Section 63.150. Redemption of Dogs. Whenever a dog <br /> is picked up by the M.A.P.S.I. , or any other duly authorized <br /> agent of the City, if such dog has an identification tag the <br /> owner shall be notified immediately by M.A.P.S.I. Any dog not <br /> claimed by the registered owner within a period of not less <br /> than five regular business days may be sold for not less than <br /> $2. 00 or otherwise disposed of in accordance with Minnesota <br /> Statutes, �35.71. <br /> Before any dog is released, the owner shall pay, in <br /> addition to any other penalties and the kennel charges, the <br /> following: <br /> First Offense $20.00 - <br /> Second Offense $30.00 <br /> Third Offense $40. 00 <br /> Fines imposed by this schedule shall be based upon offenses <br /> occurring within any one calendar year. <br /> Section 63.160. Observation of Dog After Biting. Any <br /> person knowing of a case of a human being bittin by a dog shall <br /> immediately notify the dog warden or chief of police, who shall <br /> then impound the dog for a period of ten days at the expense of <br /> the owner of the dog before surrendering the dog to its owner. <br /> The owner of the dog may have the opportunity to choose the <br /> veterinarian kennel where the dog will be impounded. <br /> Section 63.180. Dog Kennels, License. No person shall <br /> operate a kennel without being licensed under this section. <br /> Application for such kennel license shall be made to the City . <br /> Clerk, and sha11 be accompanied by a license fee of $100. The <br /> Clerk shall refer the application to the City Council who may <br /> grant or deny it. Licenses shall be issued on an annual basis, <br /> expiring on r�arch lst each year. <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall be published in the <br /> Lake Minnetonka Sun and shall be effective upon pubZication. <br /> Adopted by the Orono Council this 8th day of November, <br /> 1976, by a vote of 3 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> ��� ' � <br /> ����_�Q..�� <br /> Robert L.
